JFE Steel Corporation today announced that its West Japan Works (Kurashiki Area) and East Japan Works (Chiba Area) have been certified under the ISO 45001 (JIS Q 45001) international standard for occupational health and safety management systems.1
Previously, the company’s Chita Works and West Japan Works (Fukuyama Area) acquired certifications in 2021, meaning that both areas of the West Japan Works, JFE Steel’s core steel works, now have been certified under ISO 45001. The company’s remaining two works (Keihin and Sendai) are currently working to acquire certification within the current fiscal year ending in March 2023.
