In 2019, worldsteel has recognised six safety and health programmes for their excellent contribution to the safety and health of steel industry employees.
The companies which were recognised were:
- Gerdau
- Qatar Steel
- Jindal Steel and Power
- Liberty Steel
- Tata Steel Limited
- and Usiminas.
Companies were rewarded in four categories: Safety Culture and Leadership, Occupational Health, Occupational Safety and Process Safety.
